Resources for 2019 Annual Meeting Abstract presenters

 

Abstract as Poster Presentation

  • CARRA Grant Poster
    • Abstracts are required to be reviewed by the CARRA Publications Committee. Abstract submitting authors will need to submit their final poster to the CARRA Publications Committee.  The submission deadline has passed. If you have not submitted, please contact our Meetings & Membership Manager, Jena Kendall, at jkendall@carragroup.org.
    • Please use appropriate template as per CARRA Publication and Presentation Guidelines.
    • Posters must be no larger than 42" tall by 84" wide (you will be assigned to a 4’x8’ poster board, please design your poster accordingly).
    • A section at the top of the poster must contain the Title, Authors, and Affiliations.
    • Printing should be easily read from a distance of 3-4 feet.
    • Updated CARRA Registry poster templates and acknowledgements are available below for download.
    • CARRA will take care of the printing and hang your poster for you.
  • CARRA-Related Poster
    • Is this abstract CARRA-related?
      • Identify if this is the result from a CARRA-Arthritis Foundation grant, a CARRA-sponsored study, surveys of CARRA membership, or work complete in CARRA workgroups/at a CARRA Annual Meeting. Submit your poster here for review.
      • Does this project utilize CARRA Infrastructure such as mailing lists, conference calls, or annual meeting space?
      • Does this project utilize data and/or biospecimens from a CARRA sponsored study (such as Registry, CTP’s, STOP-JIA, FROST, APPLE, etc.)?
      • Did this project come as a result of a survey of CARRA members?
    • CARRA Related Abstracts are required to be reviewed by the CARRA Publications Committee. Abstract submitting authors will need to submit their final poster to the CARRA Publications Committee.  The submission deadline has passed. If you have not submitted, please contact our Meetings & Membership Manager, Jena Kendall, at jkendall@carragroup.org.

    • If you would like to use CARRA’s printer and have your poster shipped to Louisville, please click here.
      • Deadline: April 5, 2019 to have your poster printed through Call4Posters.
      • Please note that you are responsible for the cost of having your poster printed.  
    • Specifics for printing:

Oral Abstract Presenters

All oral abstracts will be presented in the Marriott Ballroom. Please use this PowerPoint Presentation Template. PowerPoint Ballroom Presentation Template.

  • Abstracts are required to be reviewed by the CARRA Publications Committee. Awardees will need to submit their final slide deck to the CARRA Publications Committee.  Submit your slide deck here no later than March 29, 2019 (7 days is required for review).
  • Approved final slide decks must be sent to Jena Kendall, jkendall@carragroup.org, no later than Friday, April 5, 2019.

CARRA invites you to submit an abstract to the 2019 Annual Meeting!

All CARRA-Arthritis Foundation grant recipients are required to present an abstract at CARRA conferences from the time of grant approval until their project is complete. For those who have a project in the early stages, please provide an update as to where you are in your project and what you hope to gain from working on this project. What are the specific aims of your project? For those mid-way through your project, provide information as to what has been accomplished and what must still be completed, with a clear plan for completion. For those who are close to completing or have completed their projects, please provide the details of your project including what has been accomplished and learned from this work.

Important information:

  • Anyone may submit an abstract but at least one abstract author must be a current CARRA member.
  • All recipients of CARRA-Arthritis Foundation grants are required to submit abstracts yearly until the final grant results are presented at CARRA.
  • Abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be selected for either poster or oral presentation at the meeting.
  • All abstracts will be published in an online supplement to Pediatric Rheumatology, which will be available in May of 2019.
  • All abstracts are required to adhere to the CARRA Abstract Submission Guidelines. Submissions not adhering to these guidelines will not be considered.
